Turn the foundation plan into concrete-specific quantities — continuous footing LF, foundation wall LF, piers, and spot footings — and a reviewable estimate you can edit and send.
ROOM TAKEOFF
Upload the plans
Start with the foundation plan from the drawing set — the sheet that carries the footing and wall outline.
Identify the foundation sheet
Vega helps classify the foundation plan so the footing and wall perimeter is read off the right sheet, not a floor plan.
Foundation perimeter
The footing and wall outline is traced from the foundation plan — the perimeter that drives continuous footing and wall LF.
Element quantities
Continuous footing LF, foundation wall LF, pier count, and spot footings are built from the perimeter and the survey — each editable.
Materials & labor
Each element is priced at a bundled all-in rate (form + pour + concrete + labor), split material and labor, with unit costs that stay editable.
Review & estimate
Check the perimeter source, adjust the foundation type and PSI, toggle cold-weather and waterproofing, and carry the estimate into a proposal.
Vega assists at each stage — review and estimator judgment remain part of the process.
Structural concrete is priced per element — footing, wall, pier, spot footing — each bundling form, pour, concrete, and labor into one all-in rate. Vega traces the foundation perimeter, counts the elements, and splits the cost so you can see what is behind the number.
Element rates are anchored to 7 competing Utah bids. Rebar is priced under the separate Rebar trade; excavation, surveying, testing, and slab flatwork are excluded.
A concrete estimate is only as good as the perimeter behind it. Vega shows where the footing and wall LF came from, lets you set the foundation type and PSI, and flags the concrete volume so you are never left with a black-box number.
See the perimeter source
The estimate shows whether footing and wall LF came from traced foundation polygons, exterior walls, or the building footprint — so you know what to trust.
Edit the quantities
Footing LF, wall LF, pier count, and spot footing counts are all editable. The whole chain recomputes when you change one.
Set the foundation type
Switch between basement (8′), crawl (5′), and stem wall (4′) — the wall rate and height change with it.
Edit any price
Every element rate is click-to-edit. Your overrides are saved and never replace the system defaults.
Transparency, not a black box
The concrete cubic-yard figure is shown for reference — the bundled rates already include the concrete, so you are not charged twice.
Cross-check vs real bids
Element rates are anchored to 7 competing Utah bids, so a number that falls outside the expected range is visible before it goes out.

CONCRETE SUBCONTRACTORS
Focus on the concrete scope — footing by footing, pier by pier — and carry it into a trade-specific bid without rebuilding the takeoff from scratch.
GENERAL CONTRACTORS
Estimate structural concrete alongside framing, rebar, waterproofing, and excavation — in one project, one workflow, and one proposal — instead of rebuilding each scope.
Structural concrete estimating software helps contractors turn foundation plans into concrete-specific quantities — continuous footing LF, foundation wall LF, pier counts, and spot footings — and then into materials, labor, and a reviewable estimate. Vega is built around that workflow for concrete contractors.
Yes. Upload the drawing set and Vega reads the foundation plan to trace the footing and wall perimeter. Pier and spot footing counts come from the survey and are editable in the breakdown. The results feed into a structural concrete estimate you can review and adjust.
No. Vega prices each element — continuous footing, foundation wall, pier, spot footing — at a bundled all-in rate per LF or per each. Each rate already includes formwork, pour, concrete, and labor. The derived cubic-yard figure is shown for transparency and waste calculation, but it is not charged separately.
Vega supports basement (8′), crawl (5′), and stem wall (4′) foundation types. The wall rate changes with the type — a taller basement wall costs more per foot than a crawl-space wall — and the wall height drives the derived concrete volume. You can switch foundation type in the breakdown and the whole estimate recomputes.
Yes. Foundation piers (12"×12") are priced per each, and spot footings are priced per each in three sizes: 2×2, 3×3, and 4×4. Counts come from the survey and are editable in the breakdown, so you can add or remove them as the plan requires.
Vega includes toggleable add-ons for cold-weather concrete (hot water + accelerator per cubic yard), below-grade damp-proofing (per LF), and mobilization for remote sites (flat). The damp-proofing add-on is automatically suppressed when the dedicated Waterproofing trade is on the estimate, so the same coating is never billed twice.
No. Rebar is priced under a separate Rebar trade in Vega. The structural concrete estimate deliberately excludes reinforcing so the two scopes are not double-billed. You can carry both trades in one project estimate.
Yes. Foundation type, footing and wall LF, pier and spot footing counts, PSI mix, waste factor, and every unit price are editable. Toggles for cold-weather, waterproofing, and mobilization let you scope the estimate to the job. Edits are saved as your overrides and the whole estimate recomputes forward.
