How this calculator works
Length (ft) × width (ft) × depth (ft) ÷ 27 × (1 + over-excavation allowance % ÷ 100).
Bank volume is in-place earth. It is not loose haul volume; soil swell, shoring, sloped excavation sides, groundwater, unsuitable soils and trucking must be evaluated separately.
